Speech & OT Therapy Sessions
Individualized speech therapy sessions.
Service Description
Speech Therapy sessions are individualized for every client based on their communication needs. The client must first participate in an evaluation, and, if they qualify for services, the SLP or OT will recommend a frequency (1x/week, 3x/week, etc) and an amount of time for each visit (ex. 30min, 60min). Once the evaluation is completed and a treatment plan with goals is developed, speech therapy sessions will begin with essential data collection every visit to determine maximum efficiency of strategies and to track progress over time. Speech therapy session may target the following: -speech sounds -expressive language -receptive language -fluency -voice -feeding -cognition -auditory processing -speech, language, communication, and listening skills impacted by hearing loss/deafness -Complex communication needs (AAC). Occupational Therapy sessions may target the following: -Fine Motor Skills (ex. Hand strength & dexterity, Pre-writing and handwriting skills, Scissor skills) -Gross Motor & Core Strength (ex. Balance and coordination, Crossing midline, Motor planning) -Sensory Processing & Modulation -Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) -School Participation Skills -Play skills -Self-Regulation & Emotional Skills -Feeding & Oral Motor -Assistive Technology
